So You Think You Can Dance & Bourbon Street

So I was able to spend a FANTASTIC weekend with the most beautiful woman ever!

That's right... I spent it with my beautiful sister roo!  (I know we are a little shiny... but hey!  we were walking all over new orleans!)

We had a great time eating beignets at Cafe Du Monde ( or "them donuts" as Nikki referred to them later in the evening)....

and we made it over to the oldest bar in America (and probably the dirtiest)

The bar has a very unique (and quite smart) theme.  You see, they use tea lights to light up the entire bar...so you have no idea how dirty it is....

A little scary...

So after a little sight seeing on Bourbon Street Friday night, we decided it was time to hightail it to the hotel.  It was very difficult seeing parents walking their adolescent children down Bourbon Street while girls are pulling their tops down for 10 cent beaded necklaces... we could only take so much of that.  It was a unique experience to say the least!

The next day we continued some early Christmas shopping down in the French Market and bought some very fun and unique items for our family!  Don't you wish I would show you some pictures!  Hahahahahaha!!  I don't think so!  And then we went to the highlight event of the weekend... So You Think You Can Dance Tour 2010!!

Oh how I love hanging out with my sister!  We acted like 12 year old girls!  We screamed (I almost cried haha!) and just acted like the goofy sisters that we are!  The one thing that would have made it complete would have been having our beautiful mom with us, but it was still one of the most fantastic times I have had!

And we had such great seats!! 

Now it is back to work and back to good ole Mississippi!
